History of St. Francis School

Saint Francis of Assisi is a Catholic parish school in Northeast Baltimore. Although the church was founded in 1927, it was not until 1955 when the new church was built on the corner of Harford Road and Pelham Avenue, that the parish school opened with four classrooms, an assembly hall, and an office in the building the church had vacated.

St. Francis of Assisi Preschool seeks to provide a loving, caring environment to help each child in our program grow in their love of God, self, and others.  We seek to cultivate children's natural sense of wonder and build experiences that provide children with a solid educational foundation for learning throughout the elementary years.
